He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in 2000 in general medicine. Since then, he has worked at the 2nd neurological department of the Faculty of Medicine CU and the University Hospital of Bratislava. In 2011, he habilitated as an associate professor of neurology; in 2016, he was inaugurated as a professor in neurology at CU. Since 2015, he has been working as the head of the neurological department. He is also the senior associate dean of the Faculty of Medicine CU and vice-dean for research funding. He is the president of the Slovak Neuropsychiatric Society of SMS and the vice-president of the Slovak Neurological Society of SMS. He is a member of the scientific panel for headaches within the European Academy of Neurology and a member of several domestic and foreign magazine editorial boards. He has been working as an external researcher at the CEM SAS since 2007.
He researches headaches, balance disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, especially Parkinson’s. He completed several foreign scientific stays, the most significant of which was his repeated work at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany.
